The visionaries behind Rock4Sight, brought us another year of a successful rock concert fundraiser. This year's theme, "A Night of Tribute Bands", treated concert attendees to classic hits by The Blues Brothers, The Beatles, Bruno Mars, Fleetwood Mac, and Led Zeppelin.

Rock4Sight took place at the Hard Rock Café in New York Times Square during Vision Expo East on March 18, 2023.

The bands who performed during the rock concert are volunteer musicians in the vision care industry, comprised of five different ensembles: Zonules of Zinn, The Base Curve Band, Punktum Remotum, Retrospex, and Visionary.

Funds were generated through corporate donations and ticket sales. National Vision was the event’s lead Diamond Sponsor.

As the night came to a close, Rock 4 Sight co-chairs John Alofs, Bob Stein, and planning coordinator Denise Mogil, presented the funds raised, a check for $172,402 to ECN Purpose.

Last year, the net proceeds from the Rock4Sight charity concert helped ECN Purpose purchase a vehicle. Every dollar of this year’s generous donation is being employed to customize the vehicle into a fully functioning mobile unit for ECN Purpose’s Mobile Eye Health Program.

It is because of the sponsors' generosity, we will be able to connect underserved individuals to vision care, who may not otherwise have services available to them. This mobile unit will allow us to meet people where they are and safely provide care. We are so grateful for the industry’s support!
