ECN Purpose Our Story Our History

Our Story

The Eye Care Network, Inc. (ECN), a not-for-profit mutual benefit corporation, was started in 1976 by a group of California ophthalmologists and opticians passionate about vision care.

Upon dissolution of ECN in 2020, funds were designated to start a charitable organization named, Charity of the Eye Care Network (CECN), to make access to vision care possible for underserved populations.

Doing business as ECN Purpose, CECN will continue the passion and purpose of the original founding ophthalmologists and opticians. CECN is led by the CEO of The Eye Care Network, Inc. of 25 years, as well as, the same dedicated Board of Directors.

“Sight impacts everything, every day, everywhere.”
